Local Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm police.
Automobiles, walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they reported in a statement.
Law enforcement say they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.
The substance had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they added.
Police then discovered numerous other marked cars and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.
Police report early analysis show the substance was likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no lead as to its source; authorities are not yet cognizant of any injuries in relation with the occurrence," they commented.
City officials stated they were working "to solve the incident" and have appealed to the public for information.
A senior political figure commented the incident left him stunned and required to be addressed promptly.
"This act hits the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on online, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
